![]() ![]() The leaves of this species are often eaten by small mammals, and the flowers are visited by small flies and bees. Common cinquefoil belongs to Rosaceae, the rose family. The 1/2″ flowers have five yellow petals and roughly twenty stamens (pollen producing flower organ). ![]() This herbaceous species can be identified by its deep leaf venation and serrated leaves. However it should not be overlooked! Its dainty flowers only last around a month, and are a joyous addition to the groundcover of a variety of habitats. The small yellow flowers of this species are arranged in a large umbel. Golden alexanders is a perennial herb belonging to the carrot family (Apiaceae)! The upper leaves of this species are divided in two, whereas the lower leaves are divided in threes.
